WORK IN PROCESS

23.06.21 — 23.06.21

On 23 June 2021, from 4 to 8 pm, the Mario Iannelli Gallery is pleased to present "Work in process", the book published by CURA., that collects the photographic documentation of its activity from opening day in 2014 until 2020.

The entire book, together with the connected artist's editions, will be exhibited in a visual gallery set up in the space.

The publication includes a wide selection of photographic reports by Roberto Apa and Laura Gianetti and graphically edited by Giandomenico Carpentieri.

The choice of black and white images reproduction and the presentation in individual postcards makes visible research spanned over time in which the artists' work has increasingly interconnected and at the same time is an invitation to experience through details giving back an overall vision of the works and exhibits on display.

Conceived and curated by Mario Iannelli, the project highlights the artists’ operational and conceptual process and their intervention in the gallery space by labelling in an archive form the work from Julius von Bismarck, Jan Bünnig, Julian Charrière, Joe Clark, Dario D’Aronco, Stanislao Di Giugno, Baldo Diodato, Paula Doepfner, Tom Esam, Felix Kiessling, Schirin Kretschmann, Cyrill Lachauer, Claus Philip Lehmann, Daniel Lergon, Simon Mullan, Vettor Pisani, David Prytz, Antoine Renard, Max Renkel, Sarah Ancelle Schoenfeld, Yorgos Stamkopoulos, Tyra Tingleff, Philip Topolovac, Alvaro Urbano and Anna Virnich.

Each copy contains a limited edition that is part of a series of fifteen editions made for the book by Joe Clark, Dario D’Aronco, Stanislao Di Giugno, Paula Doepfner, Tom Esam, Schirin Kretschmann, Cyrill Lachauer, Daniel Lergon, Simon Mullan, David Prytz, Sarah Ancelle Schoenfeld, Yorgos Stamkopoulos, Tyra Tingleff, Philip Topolovac and Anna Virnich.
